It has many similarities to cacao, as both grow in the tropics in pods and are often used in drinks and confections. But unlike cacao, carob does not contain caffeine. Carob also contains 3 times the calcium of cacao.
This is the best carob powder that we have ever had. It's a bonus that it is organic. It is a fine powder and mixes in well, no matter what we are making.
