Gone Nuts! Raw Chocolate Covered Almonds & Raisins

Imagine, a velvety dark chocolate sauce, sweetened by a caramel blend of rapadura, raw blue agave and Ugandan vanilla. Curious yet?

We've added a mixture of sprouted almonds and raisins and air-dried them into the best bite size chocolate clusters ever. If you're not a chocoholic already, you'll be one now.

What are "live nut snacks", you ask?

All of the nuts are soaked in water overnight. During this time, amazing dormant enzymes and nutrients are activated and existing fats are transformed into healthier amino acids. This process is called germination. Live enzymes allow the nuts to be easily digested and the nutrients readily absorbed by our bodies.

The nuts are then seasoned and gently air-dried at low temperatures around 115 degrees. Drying at low temperatures, instead of roasting, protects all of the live enzymes and nutrients. The end result is LIVE nuts!

Raw Cacao Almonds & Raisins - these are definitely a good combination. The cacao is not sweet at all but paired with raisins it gives the right amount of sweetness. If you like the flavor of Cacao, then this snack is definitely for you. Its a keeper. (Posted on 4/23/10)
