Common table salt, which is basically sodium chloride, has numerous known health risks. No bitterness or sharp taste, and a mellower type of salt. The salt I received is slightly more pink than the photo shows. It looks so pretty in my clear salt shaker. I'm glad its not from the (polluted) ocean. (Posted on 1/13/11)
