This beautiful, raw olive oil comes from the first, cold-press extraction of certified organic Peruvian black Botija olives. As they are the least processed forms of olive oil, extra virgin or virgin olive oil have more monounsaturated fatty acids than other olive oil, especially oieic acid. These types also contain more polyphenols, which may have benefits for the heart.

For the same price of a bottle of inferior olive oil at the local grocery store, the taste and aroma of this olive oil is infinitely superior! I used it in a pesto, made a bunch of my balsamic vinaigrette for salads. But the best was when my husband turned it into a garlicky dipping sauce for some toasted parmesan-cheese bread! I will never buy olive oil from the grocery store again. (Posted on 5/1/13)

Really nice flavor in this one! Very strong "OLIVE!" kind of taste. I've always favored Greek olive oil in the past, but this one has even more distinctive and tasty notes. Plus, I trust that it's pure and not like that soybean imposter oil coming out of Europe. (Posted on 4/30/13)
