What's the difference between Healthforce's Spirulina Manna and their Spirulina Azteca?

The Spirulina Manna is grown in the California Desert, using quadruple filtered water, man-made ponds that are sheltered from outside contamination, and when harvested are tested extensively for all known contaminants. It has a mild flavor and smell, and mixes smoothly. No other algae and no bacteria grow with it.

The Spirulina Azteca is certified organic from Chile, South America, is also grown in a man-made environment, and is certified contaminant free as well. It has a bit stronger taste and smell than the Manna has, and mixes well, but isn’t always as smooth as the Manna. Both of them are comparable in potency and consistency of nutrient content.

Spirulina is comprised of approximately 65% protein, 10% fat and 25% complex carbohydrate. One tablespoon is a serving and contains 9.8 grams of protein, 1.5 grams of fat and 3.8 grams of complex carbohydrate. Spirulina contains up to 13 % of essential minerals like Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron, and Zinc as well as complete vitamin B groups and many important anti-oxidants (which protect cells). The anti-oxidant Phycocyanin is found in Spirulina. It is the richest natural source of Vitamin E and beta-carotene.
